Orks are one of the most numerous races in the galaxy, and love nothing more than a good fight. Growing larger as they age, ork hierarchy is decided by who is the biggest.
Possessing a high degree of latent psychic power, the Ork race is actually descended from the Krork, a race created by the Old Ones in their fight against the Necrons millions of years ago. This psychic energy allows culturally shared beliefs to manifest itself physically, such as the belief that 'red wunz go fasta' causing red vehicles to actually travel faster than their non-red counterparts.
A race both brutal and kunnin', Orks believe there can never be enough dakka, and that the best thing in life is giving 'umies a good krumpin'. When enough of them gather together, they form a waaagh, which also doubles as a warcry. These waaaghs are led by the biggest and strongest Orks, the largest in the galaxy being the waaagh of Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka.
Going into battle with noisy, dirty, ramshackle weaponry and vehicles, the strength of the Orks is in there almost unbeatable numbers. Within the world of Warhammer 40k there are few armies who can claim to outnumber an army full of Ork Boyz.
Orks are a converters dream, as Orks are so haphazard in their engineering approach that really anything goes! With a lack of care about things like cleanliness, this also means painting Orks is great for speed, or beginners. Throw an Agrax Earthshade wash on there and the job's a good 'un!
On the battlefield Orks are almost certain to outnumber the enemy, and are incredibly effective in melee, with their potency increasing the more of them there are.
